Purchase new and gently used books for all ages and interests from the Friends of the Cedar Rapids Public Library during their big fall book sale.
Proceeds benefit the Friends, who support the library and literacy efforts in our community.

Teens will learn skills related to our Maker Spaces and equipment, such as sewing, the 3D Printer, and an introduction to basic designs using computer software. Each month we will meet twice, and both days will be spent working to complete a single project.
Sept. 2 & 16: Learn about circuits and get an introduction to simple design software.
Oct. 7 & 21: Learn basic sewing skills and make your own softie.
Nov. 4 & 18: Learn how to use the 3D printer and Tinkercad design software.

Show off your best dip recipe at the library's Dip Recipe Swap! Bring a sample (approximately a quart) of your favorite homemade dip and item to serve with the dip, along with a copy of the recipe. Dips may be savory or sweet. Participants will be encouraged to try all the dips and take a copy of any of the dip recipes they want to try at home.
