Join first time guest instructor Cindy Johnson for an innovative kumihimo project. Using a foam disk, use 22-gauge wire and 2mm leather to make a flat braid. Learn to finish it with bead caps and a toggle clasp. This class will be repeated on Fri., Sept. 26 from 1-4pm. Instructor: Cindy Johnson.

Learn how to manipulate solid borosilicate glass. Participants will make a variety of shapes that create glass skills of pushing, pulling, adding color, and making a bail. Shapes worked on in class include a pawn, basic marble, icicle pendant, and a mushroom pendant. Instructor: Tyson Whitehill.

This class will teach you the art of lampworking, a technique of using a torch and melting glass rods to create various shapes. Safety and appropriate equipment handling are emphasized. Your beads will need to stay in a kiln overnight to be annealed. No previous experience needed. Instructor: Karen Kubby.

This class emphasizes professional stringing and design techniques. You will make two bracelets using Czech Republic pressed glass beads and sterling silver spacers. Each will use different stringing materials. One bracelet will be strung on nylon and the second bracelet on flexible wire. You will learn how to use crimp beads to finish the second bracelet. Both bracelets will be secure and beautiful. No experience needed. Instructor: Alyssa Jakowchuk.
