Event Description

On April 26, 2025, at the Eastern Iowa Observatory and Learning Center, Cedar Amateur Astronomers presents: "What Causes the Northern Lights and How to Predict When They will Occur." University of Iowa graduate research assistant Jodie McLennan will discuss this fascinating topic. The evening begins at 8 PM and the presentation lasts about an hour. Guests are welcome to stay and view the marvelous objects in the Iowa night skies at the conclusion of the discussion (weather permitting).
