Event Description

Join Prairiewoods and yoga instructor Sarah Cram Driscoll on the land for outdoor Morning Hatha Yoga on Sunday mornings! Start your day with gentle movement and deep breathing in nature. Together we will bring energy and balance to our bodies and minds. This is a beginner-friendly practice held outdoors on the land at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) and is intended to awaken and restore. Please bring a yoga mat, a water bottle and an open heart. No experience is needed—just come as you are! Let’s stretch, breathe and move together in the fresh morning air. Sarah is a yoga teacher and owner of Breathing Room Yoga in Cedar Rapids. Breathing Room Yoga is a community space, a place to practice yoga and meditation, and a yoga school for the 200-hour Foundation Yoga Teacher Training. Sarah is the co-founder and organizer of Harmony Festival, a music and yoga festival in Cedar Rapids. She is also co-creator of All Bodies Belong, a photo project inspiring anyone to try yoga and see themselves in the practice. Creativity, community and friendship have been Sarah's driving forces as she has been volunteering for the arts for 25 years and has enjoyed playing music in the area for just as long. Sarah enjoys listening to music, traveling and spending time with her family. There is a suggested donation of $10 per class, and registration is appreciated. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
