Event Description

Do you dream of a peaceful classroom? Start living the dream by learning practices of mindfulness, social emotional behavioral support and self-compassion. Explore neuroscience to develop a personal classroom toolkit of peace. Deepen your own mindfulness and social emotional behavioral support skills to create a more peaceful classroom. Online articles and resources will be used to support course aims. These articles will be free and provided to those who register. Together we will engage in peace education practices involving mindfulness and social and emotional behavioral support that can be used directly in the classroom, such as mindful breathing, mindful movement, art and nature-based experiences. We will apply our learning to develop a peace education classroom toolkit of mindfulness and social and emotional behavioral support-based teaching practices and lessons that can be used in the classroom and in daily life. A number of free online research articles will be used as text to support course aims.
