Event Description
Come create with the Creator! During this morning at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha), we will draw a beautiful mandala, or sacred circular work of art, using artist’s pens and drawing paper. We will learn about mandalas, including their spiritual significance throughout history. Then we’ll spend our time drawing in a contemplative setting. We’ll each leave with a unique mandala that represents our spirit! Facilitator Andi Lewis has bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and women’s studies from Northwestern University. In the past, she has worked as a TV reporter and producer, the operations director for a professional organizing service, a textbook writer and editor, and the marketing coordinator at Prairiewoods. Andi and her husband, Steve, moved here from Chicago in 2011 to be closer to family. Andi enjoys all arts and crafts, good food and wine, reading, working on her home, and playing with her dogs.
