Reflections of the Civil War
July 12 hours 9-4
July 13 hours 9-3
Take a step back in time to relive the tragic events of the American Civil
War, 1861-1865. Visitors can stroll through the camps of both armies and
see what soldier life was like for the troops. Learn what it was like to be an Iowa farm boy sent off to war and what life was like for the wives and mothers as they read letters from home.
There are Living History activities for the whole family. Kids can enlist
in the Army and learn 1st hand how to be a soldier. There will be a battle
each day. There will also be book reading and signing by Area Author Darcie McGrath on both days.
Come visit us at the Farm and see history in action.
