UScellular will bring a 507-foot, 8-inch mini golf hole, a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holder, to Cedar Rapids for the public to play. The company will host a free event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Plaza Park on Mays Island with the record-holding golf hole and additional family-friendly activities that include face painting, a giant puzzle, snow cones, mural painting and other larger-than-life games.
As part of its Built for US platform, UScellular has provided tips and resources to help people have a better relationship with their technology. Earlier this year, the company created a “Board of Connectors,” a group comprised of youth from Boys & Girls Clubs and children of UScellular associates, to inspire more ways for families to create better digital habits. They shared their desire to make their favorite places in their communities even better by getting to play larger-than-life games in open spaces, which allows them to have fun while spending less time on their screens.
