Event Description

The Hawkeye Area Council, Scouting America, will host its annual Bourbon & Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Thursday, October 30, 2025, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Midnight Gem Event Center, located at 2613 Ders Dr NW, Swisher, IA 52338. This ticketed event, priced at $75 per person, offers guests a full evening of entertainment and community impact, including a BBQ dinner, a curated selection of bourbon and wine tastings, access to a silent auction and raffle, and a variety of games and activities. All proceeds from the evening directly support local Scouting programs in Eastern Iowa, including inclusive summer camps and outreach initiatives serving youth in need. The Bourbon & Wine Tasting Fundraiser plays a critical role in helping Hawkeye Area Council deliver education, leadership development, and outdoor experiences to youth across its 7-county service area. Through the generosity of attendees, donors, and sponsors, the Council is able to keep these programs accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstance. A highlight of the evening will be the silent auction, featuring a wide array of items, services, and experiences donated by businesses and individuals from across the region. The auction will be hosted on a hybrid platform, allowing both in-person guests and remote participants to browse and bid on items online. Each donation will be promoted with a custom display and online profile including business information and links.
