Event Description

Join the Marion Arts Council for Picnic on the Prairie, an evening celebrating art, music, and community! Bring your family, grab some food from one of our featured food vendors, and enjoy a variety of free, hands-on activities for all ages! Picnic on the Prairie Event Schedule 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.– Food trucks: Dixon Lemonade, Hy-Vee, French Pastry's by Sandrine 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. - Karicatures by Kira Layli: 2-3 minute drawings, Free to participants Regan's Face Painting: Free to participants Chalk the Walk: Sidewalk chalk on the patio Artistic Fusion Children's Activities: Coffee filter art, mandala coloring, bucket drumming and cup percussion interactive participation 5:15–6:15 p.m. – Artistic Fusion Performance at the Lowe Amphitheater 5:30–6:30 p.m. – Guided Tree Walk with Mari Phelan Lowe Gallery Artist and the Master Gardners 7:00–8:00 p.m. – Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra - Main Performance
