Shrek the Musical is a Broadway show with a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, based on the DreamWorks film. It follows the story of Shrek, an ogre who embarks on a quest with a talking donkey to rescue Princess Fiona from a dragon, all while dealing with fairy tale creatures banished to his swamp by the villainous Lord Farquaad. The musical expands on the movie's story, adding backstory and humor for both children and adults. Casting is extremely flexible for this show, and we would love to see a wide range of representations on our stage.
