Cornell College's Center for Literary Arts presents "Visiting Writer and Activist Wally Mongane Serote." Wally Mongane Serote, the National Poet Laureate of South Africa, will give a talk commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Soweto uprising, drawing parallels to the Civil Rights Movement and the Black Lives Matter Movement. He will also give a short reading from his work.
