Event Description

Current Exhibits: People you can bank on: A 25-Year Story of Trust, Community, & Growth In 2001, four local bankers shared a vision for a different kind of financial institution—one built on relationships, local decision-making, and a commitment to the people of the Cedar Rapids area. What began as an idea on a notepad quickly became Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, a community bank founded on the belief that employees, clients, community and the shareholders are equally important. This exhibit explores the first twenty-five years of CRBT’s history, from its founding and rapid growth to the values that shaped its culture. Discover the stories behind the bank’s Core Beliefs, its unique approach to employee engagement, and its long tradition of community involvement. Through photographs, artifacts, and personal stories, learn how a small startup with 17 employees grew into one of the region’s leading financial institutions while remaining grounded in the principles that inspired its creation.
