For 75 years Playtime Poppy Children’s Theatre has been bringing live, family friendly productions to the Cedar Rapids area. Playtime Poppy Children’s Theatre and Jefferson High School will present Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Richard R. George’s stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved book. Charlie Bucket finds a Golden Ticket and is joined by four other lucky children on a fantastic tour led by the wonderfully unpredictable Willy Wonka. During the adventure the children’s choices reveal who they truly are—and Charlie discovers that kindness, honesty, and a good heart may be the most valuable treasures of all.
