Event Description

55+ A Quilting Journey Through the Years: Join award-winning quilter Deborah Ebke for an inspiring presentation that weaves together personal growth, creative exploration, and a deep love of quilting. Deborah will discuss developments in quilting and share how her quilting has evolved over time, exploring a variety of techniques and artistic focuses that have shaped her distinctive style. The program will feature a trunk show, where Deborah will showcase a selection of her work and reflect on the significance of each piece. Deborah is especially proud of a quilt she designed and created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Native American Rights Fund. Bridge to Opportunities meets at 2100 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, directly across from Cottage Grove Place and Cottage Grove Ave. (This is Refugee City Church, the former Four Oaks building.) Parking and entrance, including a handicap ramp are at the back of the building. Questions: Call 319-640-5357.
