“Cosmic Dawn” details the making of the JWST from concept to deployment through the eyes of the people who brought it to life. The documentary explores the challenges of designing and building such an instrument, overcoming funding hurdles, and collaborating with multiple countries to complete the project. Hosted by Cedar Amateur Astronomers, this 97 minute documentary will be shown for free at the Whipple Auditorium of the Cedar Rapids Public Library downtown branch at 450 5th Ave SE.
